But the Urquharts? Nothing but wonderful things to say about them if you don't want professionalism. If the smell of dog crap permeating the "complex" doesn't just make you fall in love with them, the explanations of "it's your kid's fault" the coach is abusive, will certainly win you over. Angie Urquhart may never return your calls or texts to discuss issues, but rest assured she will ALWAYS make time to post crap talk on their Facebook page and Team Snap about parents and kids. You get all the abuse and subterfuge, without any regard to the kids who are actually there to play baseball, for a measly $1700! But wait, there's more! After they force you to use all your private practices included in the cost, they require you to buy a "pack" of lessons NOT included in the price for a measly $300 hundred dollars or else "your kid won't play". It's really cute to see a Baseball academy forgo professionalism and their "good name" for a few lousy bucks. Two thumbs up!
If you hate money or your kids or just crave drama in you life, this is the place for you. Hopefully, if on the 10U team, you get Joel as a coach. Joel will make sure to yell at your kid, grab their arm, and stare them down if they make a mistake, in practice and games. As a bonus, you also get to witness the abusive behavior towards umpires and opposing team coaches during tournaments, while proudly representing the Tom Urquhart School of Baseball! Joel will run the kids for 45 minutes straight as punishment if any parents complain about his abuse to the Urquhart's. So if you have adult issues with Joel or the Urquharts, you can rest easy knowing that it's your child that's going to suffer the consequences. Furthermore, you can feel at total ease about how much they are going out of their way to make your kid hate baseball and question their self-worth at such an early age!
