I found it suspicious that they could quote me a specific price for "truly" figuring out the problem.
I brought my CR-V in for a check engine light. They ran a "level 1" diagnosis and could not determine the issue. That level 1 diagnosis was $147.44. They emailed me and expressed that they could complete the diagnosis for an additional $400. (Keep in mind this additional $400 would not even fix the car, just diagnose it.)

Robert, we are still looking into the issue with the CR-V. We found a code for the downstream oxygen sensor in the computer. The technician is not convinced it needs an oxygen sensor. The driveability issue was experienced. We also experienced a misfire on cylinder 4. We suspect the VSA module may play a part. This is the kind of challenge we love but it will take some additional diagnosis time. The additional diagnosis will be $400. The testing and procedures done so far is $147. How would you like us to proceed?

Went in for an oil change at Jiffy Lube and they told me it would be $77 then they told me they couldn’t do it because the plug was pulling the threads. I took my van to New Concept Automotive and they had no problems changing my oil and only charged me $50. Jiffy Lube is a joke! Go to New Concept Automotive. Matt (the mechanic that worked on my van) is fast and efficient and Nancy listens to what you need and doesn’t try to sell you things you don’t need. I will bring my van here every time I need something done.
These guys do top notch work and are extremely knowledgeable. The pricing was better than what other shops quoted me and they took the time to explain things along the way. I will be going back for my future needs. Highly recommend New Concept Auto! Thanks!
