Never.... NEVER ...... Allow anyone you love to come near this place!!!! Very dangerous! This is not a hospital! This place is a nightmare! They never answer call lights even when I was there! They allowed my mother to lay in her urine all night long... Told her to just pee the bed ..... She would call for help and nobody would come! This place traumatized my mother and left her having nightmares ....Uneducated Nurses stand around socializing all day and all night...no communication and absolutely no documentation of anything that was needing to be done....Shame on these people! can't even believe a place like this exists .... Awful.... Terrible.... And Ridiculous! Please stay away!
My mother was here for a couple months, this is by far the cleanest rehab(nursing) facility in Kansas city.
They lived up to their online claims & everyone was very helpful. Most all employees that we spoke were caring & took the time to address all our concerns. Promise was the right choice.
I am in this rehab hosp for 2 weeks. Everyone here are so nice and helpful. The meals are great, and the nurses are so attentive to my needs. New experience for me, but I feel at home here. I hope to be going home next Thursday. If I can continue with physical therapy, I will be back home next week. The physical therapy people are great too.
After more than a month in the ICU the Drs. recommended my family member be sent to Promise to get him off the ventilator among other rehab needs- but I was hesitant to take my family member to Promise after reading the reviews. The building is not brand new and its not the fanciest but the areas I saw were not dirty or unkempt. And most importantly, they did a great job rehabbing my family member. The improvement we saw in the first week was remarkable. They were successful getting him off the ventilator (the hospital had not had success getting him off the vent prior) he was able to sit up and wheel himself chair around and strong enough to move on to a strength training rehab in about 2 weeks time. When he arrive at Promise he was in a bad spot- they did a great job helping him recover. I had times of frustration with the staff not reacting as fast as I would have wanted (ie getting pain meds) but overall I and my family member are very happy with the improvements while at Promise.
