As an RN that doesn't work for st lukes, the care I received here was 5 star quality. I delivered my baby here and all of the staff was so wonderful. Every encounter I had with the staff was positive. I would highly recommend this hospital if you are looking some where to have your baby.
The staff is wonderful, kind, and very skilled. The facility itself honestly doesn't have any problems. The actual problem is that I've been here multiple times now and each time I've gotten incorrect bills due to various technical glitches. It's required me to make hours of calls to various parties to get my bills sorted out, and it's happened enough now that I'm never going here again and would recommend the same to anyone else.
STAY away from this location, disorganized, ER doctor was scary, front desk had no help, you can hear staff complaining while in the ER room, I'm SO glad my sixth sense said to RUN, run fast and far, even if in immense pain, I ripped off my wrist ID and didn't even realize how fast my ass could walk! FYI, if you are a fat person go to Olathe hospital, this St. Lukes likes to body shame, DISGUSTING.
Horrible ER. Went in for an adverse reaction to a medication which caused difficulty breathing, in over 2 hours time all they did was check my temp and blood pressure. I told them multiple times I'm having trouble breathing. No breathing treatment no oxygen not listening to my lungs NOTHING!! Literally just checked my blood pressure 5 times in close to 3 hours no I.V no being seen by the doctor no help what so ever! Finally after 4 hours of suffering through the adverse reaction of the medicine I felt fine enough to just leave and go home and use an inhaler rather then wait for the sorry excuse of an er to do anything. Wouldn't recommend going here for an emergency to anyone. Can't wait to see the bill for getting my blood pressure checked and temp taken. Have my lawyer take care of it. I left before being seen because when someone is struggling to breathe and you say just a while longer and can't even give them oxygen you're not really trying to help people you're trying to make money and that's it! Hopefully they get their act together but they won't see a dime from me for this ER visit! And it funny because 3 weeks ago I had back surgery there and thought it was great so the main hospital is good but I'll be dead before going back to that ER!!!!
I just had surgery at this location and wanted to say that during my recovery everyone was exceptional. From the nurses to the technicians to the janitor, every person that enterted my room in the two days I was there was courteous, respectfull, and sensitive to my needs. I hope to never have to have surgery again but if I do this hospital will be my first choice.
