I have been looking for a new salon/stylist for almost 3 months. I went into Voga for a consultation earlier this week for a cut and color. The stylist was nice and didn't seem too rushed when I asked a couple questions. I was told they would call me if they got any cancellations on Saturday, and if I didn't hear from them by Saturday morning, I would call and make an appointment. I called them late morning today to make the appointment and asked for a breakdown of the charges. The front desk rep listed the services and prices of each. When I asked for the total, it was higher than what I had received when I was in for the consultation. At the time of the consult, the stylist told me verbatim, "I quoted you a bit higher for additional color so if we don't use all that I'm expecting, it will be lower. $X will be the most you will spend." When I explained this to the front desk rep, she said the stylist may have had a different price for the color remover at her station or had done the math wrong. I then asked if they were going to honor the lower price that I was quoted in person. She said they would not. The difference between the 2 prices was less than $25. It seems sketchy to me that they would change the price within a couple days and that the front desk rep had the authority to refuse to honor it. In the future, I would kindly recommend Voga stylists to double check their math when quoting a first time customer, and maybe some additional guidance as to when a front desk associate can and cannot refuse a price adjustment. I was sooooo excited to find a new salon and I wanted to love them, but this has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am so incredibly disappointed in the experience.
The entire staff are wonderful, and the salon itself has a classy, comfortable atmosphere. 5 stars from me - I will be going back!
I am so glad I have found Voga! It is so easy to make an appointment, they follow up with a reminder, front desk staff is courteous and they offer you a beverage as soon as you arrive. Danielle is an excellent stylist! She is talented and explains everything as well as listens to your feedback and ideas. I highly recommend going to Voga Salon!
I came in with bright pink hair (the pink was on purpose, originally) and needed to go dark with chunky highlights - the problem was that doing it myself would leave a strong red/pink under-color (seen from previous experience) so I REALLY needed someone who knew what they were doing.
Sarah is, for lack of a better phrase, a miracle worker. She got rid of the pink and my hair looks gorgeous - the cut is beautiful and I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received! She really listened to what I wanted and did everything to make it happen.
The absolute best haircut and style of my life! The staff was extremely friendly and took the time to listen and make recommendations. After the cut they taught me how to style my hair (which hasn't changed in 20 years) 3 different ways using minimal time and effort. Chey was absolutely incredible! I will definitely be back!!!
I just called to cancel my lashes appt and explained that I feel like my lash extensions are falling too quickly compared to other places I had my lashes done before and the receptionist just canceled the appt and hung up on me. So so rude! Won't come back!
