Let's lay out the background. The previous shops that occupied this building had left quite a bad impression with me. I gave each a chance but was constantly bombarded with "problems" that my truck supposedly had. In some cases I even had receipts that the issues had been fixed days or weeks before, but there was always a "well, yeah, but...." Thus I have been a little skeptical since Keaton's opened up under the premise that the building was jinxed. Probably not fair, but been burned or had almost been burned in the past. Decided to give them a chance this morning and glad I did. I took my truck in this morning for an overall inspection before a long trip to make sure that there weren't any issues that might leave me stranded on the road. Spoke with the owner, David, as well as Mark. I do a lot of the routine wear and tear maintenance on my truck and thus am aware of all the quirks and tendencies of my vehicle. They told me it would take about an hour and they were spot on. They reviewed the diagnostic report with me and were open and honest about the conditions of the vehicle and what services should be done(which I had already had been aware of before I even went in) and which services would be needed at upcoming mileage intervals. No fancy up selling, no high pressure sales pitches. Just fast, honest service and a very fair price. I have to hand it to this operation as they have earned my respect and will certainly be taking my vehicles in for all maintenance issues that I can't do or dont have the time for. Would strongly encourage anyone to give them a shot.
Keeton is great! So glad I now have "my" repair shop. I hate going for car repairs, just as much as I hate going to the dentist. Largely for the same reason, that I don't usually know what needs to be done and the element of mystery is far from exciting. I went in knowing I likely needed all my brakes done, and was expecting a fairly bad report card along with that. First, they got me in so quickly! Once I decided to go in I wanted it done right away. I brought it in on a Friday night and they had it all done and back to me about 1pm on Saturday. There was no scolding over my brakes or my lack of oil changes. I actually only ended up needed front brakes, they didn't sucker me into doing the back. The only things they recommended were air filter (cheap) and a tire rotation, which they did for no charge since my tires were all ready off. I was actually pleasantly surprised with my grand total! They are nice, honest, and reasonable, couldn't ask for more!
Very good exp. Price is good and the service is very good. They even did a follow up call to make sure the car was working good.
Employees were friendly, clean lobby but they are way overpriced as far as parts are concerned. Mark was pleasant to deal with, so this is not a reflection their staff. I'm giving them two stars for his sake and to be fair since I did agree to the total price when they called me. However, next time I will go somewhere else and, time permitting, I'll buy my own parts. Memorial Day my driver side front window would not roll up. With rain in the forecast I had to get it fixed or have the interior of my car soaked, so I went to Keeton Auto based on the previous reviews. Again, I admit I agreed to the total of the repair and the hourly labor didn't seem awful, but I was charged $285.26 for a power window motor and regulator. That seemed really steep for parts so I checked online and even getting the parts from Ford Motor Co, the highest price I found was still under $100. I was charged 3x to up to 10x the amount for parts based on the cost of the same parts at other retailers. That is obscene. Since this is the only car I have to drive, I had to get it fixed and bite the bullet, but I can say I won't be taking my cars here again, regardless of whether I need a repair now or later, nor will I be recommending Keeton. Sorry guys, fool me once...
Service was professionally done. Estimate/cost for the brake replacement was fair, the follow up during the process was excellent and the work was well done.
