Absolutely the best in the Kansas City area! We take our schnauzer Toby here even though we live in Brookside. The staff is fantastic, treat us with incredible kindness and make sure we are informed about our dogs condition and their recommendations. When we board/doggie day care here, he comes home exhausted and so happy, which is a sign they do it right!
After Highland Animal Hospital (which we loved) closed, we were a little nervous about taking our pets to Oxford - long story short, we shouldn't have been nervous at all! It's mostly the same friendly faces, plus a few new ones and Dr. Musil is still awesome as always! Wonderful place to take your pets - highly recommended!

This was my first and last time at this vet. I had just adopted my dog and was looking for a vet for her. I have had dogs for years and suspected my new addition had worms. They told me to bring in a sample for the appointment. I assumed they would just take a look under the microscope to confirm, but no they sent it out to a lab for analysis. They told me it was cheaper to do it that way then to do it themselves. How does that make sense? They called the next day and said the test for worms was negative, however she was concerned about some bacteria and wanted to prescribe a medication for it. I took my dog to a different vet the next day for a second opinion. No tests no extra money no extra medicine, just a wormer and we were in and out in 30 minutes and my dog is great. The appointment itself at Oxford took way too long. I was there for nearly 2 hours and nothing was accomplished except a smaller balance in the bank account. They seem to nickel and dime you for unnecessary things. I will not return. The whole vibe at the second place I went was so much better.
