Doctors are ok. Front staff and anyone answering the phone will treat you rudely. Very apparent by the staffs attitude that this is a privately owned office that can get away with anything

never saw a doctor here. The front desk staff was so unprofessional, I couldn't even make an appointment. The spoke in a very demeaning tone and treated me like they were entitled to my business.

My final appointment had been set, called the office to ask questions (which required a transfer call) about previous lab results and report my current condition. The staff seemed miffed and bothered that I phoned, said it was a private line and asked how I got connected; told them I had been transferred or how else would I have gotten the number. Received a call back from the Kansas City office the same day and the phone call issue was rehashed...I was warned again!!!. Clearly phoning the staff with a question is sinful, not a priority, and a far greater concern than than my condition. So, even though you are the patient and pay for a service...do not make a phone call to this staff inquiring about your current condition or upcoming appointment. I canceled the appointment to say the least. The entire ordeal and lack of professionalism was more information than what I required. It is too bad that staff attitude and misbehavior has to take away from this excellent physicians practice.
Lawrence Office: Dr. Ellis seems very skilled with good mannerisms and technique, friendly, and hands on. BUT...the staff does not complement his practice; yet impunes it. The staff comes off as surly. They exhibit poor professionalism, often dress unkept, and have plenty of time for gossip and chit chat a many of us patients observe. Professionally...I was asked to select my own chart from a stack of other patients...so much for confidentiality.
